We have a super exciting opportunity in our Creative Services team for someone to come and assist with internal communications within the business. You will be responsible for the design of all Dr Martens internal communications, taking direction from our HR, Legal and Culture teams.

The Creative Services team provides an in-house design, artworking and resource service for the Dr. Martens brand, led by the Global Marketing team, including Asia and the EMEA regions.

The Gig

As Group Communications Creative you will be responsible for the design of all Dr. Martens internal communications, taking direction from our HR, Legal and Culture teams.

Other departments and senior managers within the brand may also have requests that need actioning from the Creative Services team, so you will be a flexible team player who is willing to get involved in all areas of the function when required.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, artworking and production coordination for global internal communications including but not restricted to
  • Culture event promotion (posters, emailers, invites)
  • Business documents and guidelines
  • Company stationary – business cards, notebooks etc
  • Infographics to communicate results and achievements
  • Biannual staff newspaper
  • Product catalogues for sales launches
  • Reports and presentations
  • Recruitment advertising
  • Growth & development initiatives, Leadership programmes
  • Legal communications
  • Corporate Responsibility communications
  • Retail Operations

  • A relevant degree and Proven commercial graphic design experience specialising in corporate communications for a similar company or agency working with such clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of print process and experience dealing with different print suppliers/ disciplines
  • Excellent 3D visualisation / render skills
  • Visual and verbal presentation experience
  • Strong understanding of and genuine interest in the fashion and retail industries
  • A genuine interest and appreciation of music, arts and culture
  • Strong communicator who can work at all levels of the business who is ambitious, energetic and entrepreneurial with an ability to act and work on their own initiative.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modelling software ie SketchUp or similar, proficient in Microsoft Office software. Working knowledge of presentation software ie Keynote and Powerpoint. Working knowledge of digital film editing using software like iMovie, After Effects and Final Cut would be an advantage, however not essential. Photography experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks/projects and work to tight deadlines
  • A high standard of written English
