Production Operative Shoeroom Factory



THE GIG:
The Cobbs Lane Factory is the birthplace of the Dr. Martens Brand. Our Made In England collection is the pinnacle of the product range pyramid that has been at the forefront of innovation and quality in the Boot and Shoe Industry since 1960. This role would have you performing vital operations in the factory as part of the production team. You would be skilled in inspection and finishing processes in The Shoeroom. Your eye for detail will ensure our standards are met for bulk, prototype and sample footwear production. The role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART:
You will be a target driven and focused, skilled shoeroom hand who is prepared to be flexible and perform many of the steps required to achieve on time delivery and the highest standards of production in Dr. Martens boots and shoes. You will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • A passion for our product and the ability to perform a range of the operations required to finish products to our high standards
  • Timely performance of finishing operations on varying materials and finishes in large quantities  
  • A strong focus on safety in every aspect of factory work is essential with PPE and correct training and handling observed at all times
  • A direct approach to addressing all quality issues, production errors and equipment problems. We’ll need you to recognise and refer to Factory Management any issues immediately so that resources are not wasted
