Unless you've been living under a rock for the last 18 months or so, you'll know that Dr Martens are on a turbocharged journey towards high street domination. With just shy of 40 UK Stores, plus a further 16 on Mainland Europe PLUS another 20 or so stores to come in FY18, we are stamping our way across the world and we need an experienced, passionate and collaborative Retail Operations Manager to come armed with a retail ominchannel toolkit of good ideas and best practice to come and help execute both our growth iniatives and the continuous improvement and smooth running of our retail stores. You have to love DMs and be a Retail Guru, happy to push the boundaries, question the norm and truly think outside of the box. This isn't a role for the faint hearted, but if you think you can come and lead DMs Retail into a new era, then read on!


  • You will Work with Head of Retail Operations EMEA, Managers and employees to form strategy, create and pilot new concepts, and develop and deliver meaningful programs to the Retail Operations function


  • You create and implement new processes for retail ops and communication. You will be responsible for the operations of our existing stores with a drive to consistently improve them.


  • You support and coordinate the roll out of projects, retail conferences and various retail initiatives in EMEA.


  • You work closely with Regional Managers and stores to ensure timely/effective communication to stores


  • You facilitate the strategy to support the roll-out and implementation of projects and initiatives that support business needs.


  • Support key stakeholders (marketing, product, logistic and IT) with all store facing deliverables


  • You play a key role in supporting New Store Openings in selected markets


  • You are responsible for an all-star team of 3, including the Stock Control & Compliance Manager, New stores Coordinator & Retail Coordinator.


  • You will look for ways to continuously improve People Management skills in your responsible area to optimise performance and engagement of teams, developing tools to support this as necessary.

  • Similar relevant experience within a Retail Operations field. You Know what good looks like within a retail environment. If you've been part of an Omnichannel rollout too then that helps. We aren't looking for an old-school mindset. Tech is the future!

  • Strong leadership & people devlopment skills regular communication, hands on approach and engaging management style and strong project management experience with an understanding of how to drive retail

  • Approachable, calm and fair in your approach. Youll be giving direction and advice to our stores and you are responsible for building strong fruitful relationships with every location.

  • Willing to take full responsibility and ownership for the Retail Operations function and happy to roll your sleeves up to get things done and desire to excel and succeed. This isn't a 9-5 desk job. You'll be getting your hands dirty.

  • Leadership that can inspire a large and diverse team in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to identify areas of change & suggest improvements, recommend future actions and manage implementations

  • A strong commitment to align the retail operations with customer needs

  • Ability to manage and develop employees and relationships at all levels across multiple countries and languages

  • Can react quickly and efficiently and without panic in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Additional Languages are a plus, but not essential!

  • Competent in Microsft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) plus G-Suite

  • Fearless and Authentic, but professional with it!
