Are you a footwear/Docs fanatic looking for the next step in your career in product? We are looking for an experienced Category Assistant to come and work with the Men's Casual team, at an incredibly exciting time at Dr Martens.

 You’ll be working directly with the Category manager and supporting the wider team, helping us drive our vision and strategy through integrated product & Marketing Plans. These are big boots to fill,  but if it sounds like your thing, then read on.........

The stuff that sets you apart:

  • You'll be working closely with the Category Manager, working on range plans and all our other product systems
  • You will be delivering all administrative support to the category team on time and in line with the critical path
  • You'll be taking ownership of sample management from the first sample to the end of the season.
  • You will coordinate GTM plans with the category  Manager from conept to launch and will own product merchandising and sales meeting and reviews.
  • You'll work with the Marketing calender, providing product information and samples where needed.
  • You will own the creation of the Men's casual seasonal catalogue content and be involved in the seasonal launch process
  • Your ability to research is top notch and you provide excellent insight from consumers and the market to help inform future briefs.
  • You will also be involved in working to build the product range.

To be our Casual Footwear Category Assistant you will also possess these qualities:

  • Proven experience working within Category Management/ Merchandising/ Product for a well known brand
  • Passionate about the cycle of footwear creation process from conception to realisation.
  • Strong appreciation of our brand's cultural heritage and relevance
  • An understanding of merchandising, with product acumen and GTM formulation
  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Proven ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to product, classifications, market/competitors, consumers and channels of distribution
  • Strategic problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to influence areas outside of direct control
