allocator - DTC emea



THE GIG:

We are looking for an experienced Allocator to join our Merchandising team at our Camden office. You will be responsible for actioning stock flow in and out of Direct To Consumer Stores. You will be de livering support for the DTC Branch Merchandising function with all administrative activities in order to maximise availability, sales and profitability across the DTC stores.  

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

·       You will be responsible for Allocations and the movement of stock in and out of stores. This will include:

    • Generate DTC Allocations on the system in line with Assortment Plans, supported by Line Manager
    • Highlight high profile/high density stores and ensure they are a weekly focus of the Branch Merch team.
    • Action IBTs and consolidations to ensure maximum sell through on products
    • Support the Product Merchandising Team by producing ad hoc analysis relating to Store Stock & Performance
    • Work with the DC/VM to achieve timely & optimum release levels of stock each season
    • Support Line manager with stock packages for new stores in order to maximize sales, taking into account option capacity and space planning.
    • Provide detailed Category Stock vs Sales reporting including KPIs: Cover, Stock Turn, ROS, Mixes

 

·       You will contribute to the smooth and effective Communicationbetween the Merchandising Team & the Retail Operations Team including the Stores through the following activities:

    • Ensure that the weekly Merchandising Doc Comms section is delivered to Retail Ops on time for publication
    • Respond to Direct-to-Merchandising store queries in a timely and professional manner
    • Support Line Manager in ensuring that the Store Issue Log is up to date with latest investigations, responses and actions
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with ‘Internal Customers’
      • DC, Retail Ops, Regional and Store Managers, VM, Marketing, Product Merch and Ecom
    • Conduct visits to the DC and Stores
    • Proactively contribute to Outlet Strategy and planning activities
    • Liaise with the Product Merchandising team to get accurate weekly updates on product intake into the business.
    • Conduct Weekly ‘Allocation Calls’ with Store Managers and/or Regional Managers to ensure store stock needs are met, provide updates on Deliveries and gain feedback on in-store traffic and events

 

  • You will contribute to the effective running of the overall DTC Merchandising function by supporting the team with various administrative activities including: Order Input, Markdown & Promotion Set Up, Data gathering
    • Analysing store performance at grade, customer type and product level to support planning process
    • Produce sizing analysis by store which supports grading and sizing decisions
    • Responsible for Training new Allocation Team members
    • Actively seeks ways to improve team processes and ways of working
    • Manage, Action and oversee accurate markdown reports for FP stores and Outlets
    • Complete accurate Sizing of Buys from a Store-based perspective in line with Critical Path requirements. Highlighting any missed opportunities at store/grade level.

To be our Allocator, you will also possess these qualities:

  • 9-12 Months previous experience as an Allocator within Clothing/Footwear business
  • Numeracy and analytical skills:
  • Commercially minded, proficient in reading, interpreting and analysing numerical data
  • High proficiency in Excel & Office programs
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Clear, effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team & build effective working relationships
  • Well organised with an eye for detail
  • Possession of skills in training and development
  • Second European language an advantage
  • Successful experience of working in Retail Shop-Floor, or other public-facing role
