ACCOUNTING CLERK



We are recruiting an Accounting Clerk to join our Americas Finance team. This position will be based out of our Portland, Oregon headquarters office and will report to our Accounting Supervisor.

Essential duties for this position include:

  • Daily tracking of bank accounts, preparing miscellaneous cash postings and obtaining necessary back up documents.  Managing Retail and Ecommerce chargebacks and issuing Ecommerce refunds as necessary.
  • Managing intercompany billings.  Creating invoices with proper documentation, sending invoices and statements to global counterparts.  Communicating with our global counterparts to resolve billing issues.
  • Sharing payables responsibilities with Accounts Payable Clerk, including invoice posting and payment processing.
  • Communicating with departments to collect documentation, appropriate approvals and answer questions that arise with invoice processing.
  • Ensuring invoices are posted to general ledger with appropriate general ledger codes, approval and documentation.
  • Processing and tracking inventory invoices and matching with inventory receipts in the system.  Working with the Product department to resolve any inventory receipt issues.
  • Assisting with processing online expense reports.  Communicating with employees to resolve expense report questions and correct errors.
  • Responsibility for various Payables and Receivables month end reports and some month end journal entries.
  • Assisting Finance department with other duties and projects as required.
 
Essential requirements for this position include:

  • High School degree or equivalent, some college-level Accounting coursework preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in accounting environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Professional level interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced level Excel, MS Office, and computer database skills.
  • Experience with accounting systems, MS Dynamics AX preferred.
