You’re a motivated sales professional with past experience working with Lifestyle footwear accounts. You know the players and the consumers and how to reach them.   • Developing and implementing sales and pro-active account management strategies for assigned territory by identifying opportunities to improve existing business and create new business
  • Determining account priority, service levels and order types to ensure sales goals are met and/or exceeded
  • Compiling, analyzing, and summarizing sales information on a weekly basis
  • Ability to provide seasonal forecasts by account and channel
  • Expert in product merchandising/segmentation, visuals, and marketing collateral for respective account(s), 
  • Best in class presentation and strategic negotiation skill set
  • Understanding and discipline to adhere to Dr. Martens distribution strategies
  • Driven to achieve operational excellence through cross-functional communication and problem solving
  • In-depth understanding of consumer target, customer connection, competitive landscape, including Omni-channel executions
  • Mastery of retail math to help lead the customer’s business
  • Weekly and monthly monitoring of product delivery, with a swift response to account and internal inquiries/concerns
  • Building relationships and providing best-in-class customer service from sell in to sell through, driven by Dr. Martens strategic goals
  • Manage the Chicago showroom samples and supplies
  • Attend regional/national trade-shows and sales meetings as requested

  • Degree in business, marketing, management or similar field
  • 5 or more years sales experience working with independent footwear and apparel accounts
  • Background in retail, buying, or merchandising is a plus
  • Ability to create business plans and manage to budget
  • Demonstrated account and order management skills
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel domestically 50%+, as well as internationally (as required) 
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
