You are starting your career in Finance or Credit and are hungry to prove yourself and learn the ropes while supporting the team. You are always willing to pitch in and help out and are comfortable working on your own or in support of your team. 
 
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Posting and application of customer payments through daily review of lockbox, ACH, and wire deposits
  • Processing customer credit card payments; posting and allocating to appropriate account
  • Updating customer credit card data on file as needed or requested
  • Updating and maintaining daily cash receipts spreadsheet
  • Creating deductions for customer chargebacks and communicating to appropriate Credit Analyst
  • Managing Customer Master Data file including set-up and creation of new accounts
  • Responding to requests from internal and external customers to make changes, updates, and additions to customer data
  • Processing and generating daily Orders About to Ship report to Credit Analysts
  • Creating credit memos for return merchandise
  • Reviewing credit general email inbox to identify customer credit card payment requests – e.g. creating invoice/credit copies, distributing other inquiries to appropriate Credit Analyst
  • Distributing daily faxes to the appropriate Credit Analyst
  • Processing daily invoices and monthly statements
  • Assisting department with miscellaneous cash posting and reconciliation
  • Managing intercompany billing and reconciliation
  • Managing chargebacks and credit card processes for eCommerce team
  • Managing credit reference requests
  • Assisting Credit Analysts with new account openings as needed
  • Assisting with other duties and projects as required

  • High school diploma required, post-secondary education preferred
  • 2+ years general professional office experience in a related field preferred
  • Experience in a Finance or Credit department strongly preferred
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Experience with a computerized accounting system
  • Good working knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Excel and
  • Strong analytical skills with attention for details
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organize time, projects, and detailed information
