HR PROJECT/CHANGE LEAD

You are a natural go-getter who dives headfirst into Projects with HR know-how. We are growing and have a number of projects and initiatives that will enable us in achieving our ambition. Project Reboot is the implementation of a new global ERP system and is the biggest project the company has undertaken in recent years. Your role will be to support the Americas region during the prep, go-live and immediate after-care of this project within the region, as well as supporting some other HR functions to ensure that all the people changes are managed effectively. While you won’t have to create programs or call all of the shots, you’ll play an integral role in supporting impacted people and teams across the business. Your background in change, communication and HR will help ensure the best possible rollout of Project Reboot from a people perspective. 

 

This role is full-time and benefits eligible but it is also a limited duration, to help the Dr. Martens Americas team as we go through an ERP transition. The approximate duration of this role is now until August 2019.

 

THE GIG

  • You will embed yourself in both the Reboot and HR team, using your specialist HR knowledge to plan for and implement people-related changes identified throughout the project. This may include drafting job descriptions, providing role clarity, or could result in recruiting efforts to hire talent to support implementation or on a more permanent basis.
  • You will lead on the Change Impact Assessment (CIA), supporting the Business Process Owners and Workstream leads to identify the impacts on our people and processes.  You will keep the CIA up to date, which will form the basis of your change plan for the project.   
  • You will work closely with anyone impacted by the project to support them through any change and to bring them with us on this exciting journey. 
  • You will develop, support and champion all Reboot communication aligned to the global communication templates and strategies.
  • You will partner with the project manager, leadership committee, and UK based Head of Change, Communication, and Learning, to support the rollout of the training programme for Project Reboot. You will also identify and source skills-based training as needed to support development.
  • While providing expert people support for the Reboot Project Team, you will also work with other areas of the HR team to support any hiring, onboarding, employee relations, HR projects or operational needs.
  • You will coach and support managers to build on their people management skills to get the best out of their teams through this change.

similar experience within an HR project/change role.

 

  • 3-5 experience on a similar project or within a similar context
  • Demonstrated knowledge of change management best practice and responsibility of similar HR functions  
  • Great coaching skills, with the ability to support people and managers through any people change
  • A confident communicator, resilient and adaptable, and ready to embrace and support regular and ongoing change
  • Confidence and credibility to take the lead and challenge or influence when necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel & PowerPoint
  • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization with a project mentality
