Health and Safety & Facilities Supervisor - DC

The Distribution Centre in Raunds is a key part of the business and serves all of the EMEA stores as well as ecommerce and wholesale customers and is a busy site operating 24/5. We are looking for an all-star Safety supervisor who is looking for the next step in their career to come and join us in this exciting new role.
 
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of safety and facilities across the site including training, risk assessments, accident reporting and investigations, audits, contractor management inc risk assessments and permits. Theywill be required to improve on the already high standards maintained and will be supported by the Safety Adviser for EMEA. The role will involve some flexible working to cover the morning, day and night shifts.
 
Key tasks & Responsibilities include:
 
Be able to complete and review risk assessments, method statements, SOPs and safety plans.
 
Be able to complete Accident / Incident forms along with performing in depth investigations.
 
Be able to successfully implement safe systems of work & To assist in improving the behavioural safety culture within the organisation
 
To give clear guidance, direction and supervision to H&S reps on each shift
 
To assist in managing monthly and quarterly safety meetings at the DC
 
To provide clear and engaging safety training
 
To manage contractors attending site effectively and safety in accordance with the CDM regulations including issuing permits to works and undertaking inductions.
 
To manage the compliance inspections across the DC including sprinkler servicing, fire alarm maintenance and general maintenance repairs.
 
To be able to identify tends in safety and FM and implement changes to continually improve standards.
 
What we need from you:
 
To be training towards or willing to train to a NEBOSH General Certificate
Proficient IT user and ability to present clearly and confidently
Demonstrate a good knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and industry best practice within a distribution centre.
Ability to be able to work flexibly & according to the needs of the business.
To have a good understanding of compliance management and contractor safe working practises.
Confident team player with a creative and engaging approach.
Proven experience within a similar role
