You’re an established System Administrator looking to oversee the selection, implementation and management of technology throughout the Americas region. You have experience owning the gamut of responsibilities related to information systems and telecommunications. You’re a problem solver willing to roll up your sleeves and help lead company-wide efforts to effectively use technology to grow our business.
 
THE GIG
  • Managing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, network equipment, VoIP, and all other IT hardware and software.
  • Making recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and working with various vendors for procurement.
  • Managing the work and priorities of a technical team including training, motivating, coaching and evaluating performance.
  • Keeping abreast of latest changes, features, and security practices for enterprise servers, networking and storage.
  • Supporting cross-functional projects as it relates to system architecture and best practices.
  • Documenting technical configurations and procedures.
  • Participating in on-call rotation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible IT experience in a corporate office environment
  • Industry certification in Microsoft, Cisco or VMWare preferred, or relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of IT hardware including servers, SANs, firewalls, routers, switches, etc. as well as networking such as DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP UDP, DHCP, VLANs, etc.
  • Administration experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Administration experience with VMware in a production environment; experience with installed hypervisors to bare metal, configured networking and shared storage, and managed high-availability hosts through vSphere
  • VEEAM backup and replication experience
  • Familiarity with IT best practices, including security policies and backup strategies
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, maintain strong attention to detail and have amazing troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Must have a pro-active, positive and solution-oriented attitude
