Programmer Analyst I

You’re an analytical superstar looking for your next break in the footwear industry. You have a proven track record of supporting, implementing and developing solutions for business-related applications and processes. Project Reboot is the implementation of a new global ERP system and is the biggest project the company has undertaken in recent years. Your focus will be on the application of the iSeries/ERP, as well as supporting the Americas region during the prep, go-live and immediate after-care of Project Reboot. You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to support the team in enhancing Dr. Martens’ footprint in the Americas region.

 

This role is full-time and benefits eligible but it is also a limited duration, to help the Dr. Martens Americas team as we go through an ERP transition. The approximate duration of this role is now until September 2019. 

 

THE GIG 

 

  • Assisting with creating and developing specifications for programming or modifications as needed.
  • Developing and implementing new applications and process improvements/solutions.
  • Creating programs, scripts and/or coding needed to support business-related functions, reporting requirements, and application interfaces.
  • Supporting System Analyst with management and maintenance of iSeries/ERP.
  • Ensuring the security of all systems and related applications.
  • Performing special projects and other responsibilities as needed

  • 5 years technical/programming experience.
  • 5 years technical experience with IBM AS400 platform/RPG
  • 5 years technical experience with an ERP
  • Familiarity with software implementations
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills and possess an acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for the supported area.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with SQL and other programming tools (preferred)
