  • Leading and developing the weekly and monthly sales forecasting process, improving accuracy by driving accountability and individual ownership of metrics. Developing a structured forecasting format against which the sales teams can execute.
  • Proactively identifying performance improvement opportunities for each member of the sales team; developing and distributing various business and market intelligence reports and analyses to assist them in achieving their daily and overall sales goals.
  • Conducting top-door and regional analyses to create demand, consumer connections, business-specific product assortment support, sales enhancement plans and sell-through initiatives.
  • Determining trends and demands for the region and key accounts; developing and implementing reporting that provides sell-through analysis by channel, strategic accounts, product, gender, color, region, door, etc.
  • Building processes that optimize cross-functional decision making and executional outcomes between the Sales, Operations and Finance teams.
  • Driving top-seller expansion strategies and bottom-seller exit / transition strategies.
  • Providing market trend analyses, competitive matrix build, NPD review and other analytics for business strategy building.
  • Providing budget and forecast variance analyses (including channel mix, ASP, product line, market, etc.)
  • Leading and facilitating wholesale gap plans to achieve sell-in and sell-through in line with financial targets.
  • Providing multi-channel business planning support to maximize in-store and online sell-in and sell-through.
  • Managing retail pricing (change and maintenance of); overseeing and evaluating MAP policy channel analysis and strategy.
  • In close partnership with Operations and Finance, managing inventory liquidation; ensuring decisions are aligned with strategic direction of the brand.
  • Providing insights and recommendations for business systems (ERP) and processes.
  • Partnering with HR and the VP of Sales to develop and execute sales variable compensation / incentive plans.
  • Developing and managing account/channel P&L and review

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analytics or sales operations, preferably in a fast-moving consumer goods industry, with a minimum of 5 years of management-level experience
  • Degree in business, finance or other related degree preferred (advanced degree desirable)
  • Expert level user of Excel and database programs
  • Demonstrated skill in reporting, modeling, graphing and formatting meaningful business intelligence and analysis for presentations to sales management, executive and board level audiences
  • Ability to mine for required data from various sources, in less than ideal conditions (e.g. lack of sophisticated systems, proprietary data environments, etc.)
  • Successful track record of delivering top results while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
