Senior Sales Assistant - Carnaby Street (Part Time)




We are recruiting a Part Time Senior Sales Assistant to join the Retail Team based at our store in Carnaby Street.
 
Reporting to the Retail Store Manager, this replacement role will provide excellent customer service to customers in store and assist with day to day operations of the store in absence of store management.
 
Main duties will include:
  • Selling Dr. Martens product on the shop floor. Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the wider performance of the store
  • Providing an excellent service to customers  at all times
  • Acting as the escalation point for more  complex enquiries from customers
  • Handling till transactions in line with operating procedures, including refunds and exchanges
  • Following all store operating procedures e.g. delivery, clock in/out, stock takes, replenishment etc
  • Following all H&S procedures to maintain a healthy, safe and tidy work environment
  • Any other reasonable task as instructed by the store management team
  • Acting as key holder and assume responsibility for store for short periods in the absence of the manager
  • Assisting store management team in coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team
 
Essential requirements are:
  • Min of 2 years retail sales experience (particularly with a fashion/lifestyle brand).
  • Experience in a senior sales role with key holding responsibility  preferable
  • Track record in providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with a diverse range of customers 
  • Sales oriented and able to assist the team with achieving store goals and objectives
  • Cash handling and till operation (EPOS till point systems) experience
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring individuals in a retail environment
