The Role - Retail Regional Manager - France (South)
We are looking for an experienced and inspirational Retail Regional Manager to lead our store portfolio across the southern French market.
Working closely with an existing Regional Manager looking after the North of the market; This role is accountable for delivering commercial performance, operational excellence and exceptional consumer experiences across a defined region. Working closely with Store Managers and cross-functional partners, you will create the conditions for stores and people to thrive while ensuring the consistent delivery of the Dr. Martens brand experience.
You will lead from the front, developing high-performing teams, driving sustainable growth and translating global retail priorities into meaningful local execution. You should expect to be travelling 4 days per week, spending time with your Store Managers, coaching and driving them to 'own their own business' & develop their teams to deliver a premium customer experience,
As our Retail Regional Manager, you will:
- Lead and support Store Managers to deliver strong commercial performance across sales, profitability and productivity measures.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring stores consistently meet brand, compliance, visual merchandising and health & safety standards.
- Monitor regional performance through key business metrics including sales, conversion, footfall, ASP, labour and NPS.
- Own regional payroll budgets and support effective labour planning that balances service, productivity and cost.
- Recruit, develop and retain exceptional retail leaders, building capability and succession pipelines across the region.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement through coaching, recognition and regular performance conversations.
- Champion consumer-first behaviours and ensure stores deliver a premium and consistent consumer experience.
- Partner with Marketing to execute local activations, events and initiatives that drive traffic, engagement and brand awareness.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Allocators and central teams to optimise stock availability and improve inventory health.
- Provide insight and feedback on consumer trends, operational opportunities and market-specific needs to support business decision-making.

To be our Retail Regional Manager you should have/or be;
- Proven experience leading multiple retail locations within a premium, lifestyle or consumer-driven retail business.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L accountability.
- Experience developing and coaching high-performing Store Managers and leadership teams.
- A track record of delivering sales growth, profitability and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of consumer experience and omnichannel retail environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable using data and KPIs to drive performance and inform decision-making.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
- Fluent in English and the local market language where applicable.
- Passionate about people leadership and creating inclusive, high-performing cultures.
