WHAT'S THE STORY – Stockroom Manager - [39 Hours, Brewer St.]

We’re looking for a Stock Manager to play a key role in bringing our Beacon store experience to life.

This isn’t just about keeping a stockroom organised. In our Beacon store, our teams are delivering more for our consumers, from exceptional product experiences to activations, events and moments that bring the Dr. Martens brand and culture to life. Behind all of that needs to be a brilliantly run stock operation.

As a Stockroom Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day stock operation, ensuring we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time. You’ll take ownership of inventory accuracy, replenishment and stockroom organisation, while working closely with the Store Manager and wider team to make sure the store is operationally ready for trading, events and activations. This reflects the remit of the Beacon Stock Manager role.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the stockroom, inventory and replenishment operation.
  • Make sure product availability supports both everyday trading and the wider Brand Beacon experience.
  • Take ownership of inventory accuracy and operational readiness.
  • Plan and prioritise stock activity around trading, activations and events.
  • Be the store’s go-to expert for stock and inventory management, helping build capability and ownership across the wider team.
  • Work closely with store leadership and colleagues to connect what happens behind the scenes with what our consumers experience on the shop floor.
  • Identify and resolve stock, operational and compliance risks.

To be our Stock Manager you should also possess these qualities:

  • Passion for our product, our heritage and the culture around it.
  • Similar experience in a Stock Manager, Stockroom Manager or inventory-focused retail role, ideally within a high-volume, flagship, experiential or premium fashion or lifestyle environment.
  • Strong stock and inventory management experience, with a track record of maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and product availability.
  • Excellent operational and organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise stock activity around trading needs, events and activations.
  • Confidence leading stockroom operations and building strong stock management practices across the wider store team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with store leadership and the wider retail team.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good IT literacy and confidence using retail inventory, stock management and EPOS systems.
  • Demonstrates resilience and thinks quickly on their feet to resolve emergent operational issues.
