FP&A Specialist

THE GIG


FP&A Specialist is responsible for delivering accurate financial information and high-quality analysis to managements in Japan, and regional finance in HK. Support managements to achieve financial goals in a coordinated manner with other departments such as Retail, E-Commerce, Wholesale, Marketing & Communications and Operation.


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Financial Reporting
  • Ensure key financial data to be reported in compliance with Dr. Martens reporting formats and procedures
  • Lead to prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports in accurate and timely manner
  • Correspond to ad-hoc reporting requests from managements in Japan, regional office, or head quarter in UK
  • Own the process to submit actual financial information to be consistent with data recorded in systems
  • Take part in month-end closing activities in accordance with closing schedule
  • Business Planning and Forecasting
  • Support financial planning processes and procedures under the guidance of regional finance in HK, including effective communications to all teams and driving scheduled activities
  • Budget/Forecast controls including cost and expense analysis to support departments to manage their spendings
  • Others
  • Continuously improve ways of working and processes to be more efficient
  • Any other duties as may assign from time to time



YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES


To be our FP&A Analyst for the Japan business, you will also possess these qualities:

  • Business level Japanese skill, and capability to read/write in English
  • At least 3 years of experiences in FP&A or similar functions
  • Excellent skill in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with speed, flexibility, good communication skill
  • Understanding in operations of various business channels such as Direct to Consumers (Brick & Mortar and Digital) and B2B (Distributors, Franchise and Wholesalers), Industry related logistic and pricing model knowledge is an advantage
  • Technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with the Retail Apparel and Footwear Industry is an advantage
  • Prior experience in the setup of ERP and Business Analytics in D365 or other established systems is an advantage
  • Hands-on, responsible, independent, self-motivated and strong analytical skills
