Alternative Footwear. Rebellious Self Expression.

At Dr. Martens we have one simple ambition. To be the leading and most respected alternative footwear company in the world.
Our heritage is firmly rooted in our courage to empower self expression, to embrace and celebrate our differences. We have proudly evolved from being a workers boot to creating iconic design statements in music, gig, festival and youth cultures (to name but a few). The stage is now set for us to grow our business and we have big plans. The next chapter will see our presence in EMEA significantly increase and our retail operations expanded to showcase our brand and product range.
With over 1600 team members globally (and growing) our people create the essence of our brand and purpose. We are serious about building environments where people can express themselves and perform to their highest potential. The HR Team are the champions and guardians of this culture and are passionate about driving change that really makes a difference to our business.

Within the context of our recently defined Reward Principles and Framework, this role will support our new Reward function and helping to keep us one step ahead. You will be our subject matter expert, providing analytical support, proactively developing and improving reward tools and processes.
It’s not all about the numbers. At Dr. Martens we never stand still and so there will be plenty of opportunity to co-ordinate a number of reward projects as we progress our Reward Strategy. We want to create and deliver innovative Reward and recognition programmes that celebrate the individuality of our teams and members of staff. We expect to attract and retain the best talent in our industries and this role will provide valuable insight into how we can continue to stand out from the crowd.

To be successful in this role you will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role either as a specialist or analyst and be a ‘best in class’ professional in key reward disciplines such as job levelling, benchmarking, pay reviews, tax/legal regulations and benefits.
Your numerical and analytical skills will be exceptional and you will be able to provide meaningful and commercially relevant recommendations using both quantitative and qualitative data. You must also be able to demonstrate your ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders across countries.
Our success depends on our people. You will be passionate about supporting reward programmes that are simple but effective and increase motivation to drive behaviours, growth and success.

It’s never just a job at Dr. Martens.  It’s a way of life. We live and breathe our Fundamentals - INTEGRITY. PROFESSIONAL. PASSIONATE. TEAM PLAYERS.  They define who we are and how we get the job done. We believe each role is as unique as the person who does it. To be our Reward Specialist you will also possess these qualities:
  • Advanced IT skills to manipulate data and creating compelling reports. Particularly Excel and reward bench marking tools.
  • Thrive in changing environments and will seek out creative solutions
  • Well organised with strong time management and excellent attention to detail
  • Motivated and driven
  • Confident communicator, resilient and adaptable, and ready to embrace ongoing change
If we have hit the nail on the head and this is you then we look forward to welcoming you to learn, explore and discover what we are about.
