THE GIG

  • Providing strategic leadership to supervisors and functional leads, working with them to establish efficient and integrated approaches to all areas within the distribution center. This includes receiving, new product planning, labor planning, inventory control, shipping, returns and sample management.
  • Delivering against best-in-class service level agreements and value added services for all Americas’ region wholesale, owned retail and direct to consumer orders and accounts.
  • Strategically integrating business intelligence into the operational planning of the distribution facility to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Managing budget, tracking actuals and analyzing cost savings.
  • Measuring business results against key performance indicators, recommending and implementing improvements in productivity, accuracy, quality and service levels.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory, utilizing inventory controls to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Communicating proactively and initiating cross-functional dialogue to assess/overcome anticipated barriers to success.
  • Leveraging the ideas, knowledge and expertise of colleagues and subject matter experts both in and outside of the DC in order to create best practices and to devise and participate in effective solutions.
  • Ensuring a culture of safety throughout the distribution facility and participating in safety and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Assessing team and individual performance, providing coaching and development where needed.
  • Hiring, developing and motivating leaders. Creating a supportive, team-oriented work climate that enables professional enrichment. Responding to concerns with timely, meaningful, fact-based and constructive feedback.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management or equivalent experience
  • Broad Distribution operations expertise with at least 5 years in a supervisory role within a distribution facility
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experiencing coaching, managing and making oral presentations to groups
  • Experience in Direct To Consumer distribution a must
  • Experience and ability to deliver against target KPI’s and consumer expectations
  • Ability to analyze statistics in order to improve inventory accuracy, decrease CPU and reduce safety incidents
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skill with Excel
  • Ability to manage budgets, read and interpret P&L statements, and prepare related management reports
  • Demonstrated skill with data analysis and integrating business intelligence into operational planning
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills
