Executive Assistant

SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

At Dr. Martens, we are more than just a premium footwear brand – we are an icon of self-expression, and individuality. We put a bounce in the step of the world’s odds ones out and authentically champion our moments of difference. With a legacy spanning over 65 years, our unique mix of bold style and premium craftsmanship resonates deeply with individuals who seek more than just a product – they seek a piece of culture. We want people to do their lives’ best work whilst at Dr Martens, creating an inspiring environment, with moments of joy.

In the Americas, we are entering a dynamic phase of growth and transformation. From expanding our retail footprint to launching innovative product lines tailored to regional tastes, this is a pivotal moment for our brand. Our focus is on deepening customer connections, driving operational excellence, and amplifying our presence across key markets.

Our Americas Leadership Team (ALT) is energized, collaborative, and driven by purpose. Under the leadership of our regional President — a member of the Global Leadership Team (GLT) — we are aligning strategic priorities to elevate the Dr. Martens experience across the Americas. As our new Executive Assistant, you will play a critical role in this journey, acting as a strategic partner and organizational linchpin. Your primary responsibilities will center around our President, Americas, however you’ll work closely with senior leaders, contribute to high-impact initiatives, and help shape the future of our brand in the region.

THE ROLE

You’ll be the right hand to our Regional President, helping drive strategic priorities and ensuring the smooth rhythm of our regional operations. Your work will directly impact how we show up as a brand, how we lead as a team, and how we grow across the region.

You’ll bring clarity to complexity, structure to chaos, and energy to every interaction. You’ll be trusted to handle sensitive information, manage high-stakes schedules, and represent Dr. Martens with confidence and professionalism. This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves to make things happen, and is passionate about supporting bold leadership.

  • Be a strategic partner to the Regional President, managing their schedule, priorities, and communications with precision and discretion.
  • Own proactive and extensive diary management — coordinating internal and external meetings to maximize impact and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, representing the President and the Dr. Martens brand with professionalism.
  • Manage travel logistics end-to-end, including flights, accommodations, itineraries, and on-the-ground coordination.
  • Draft, edit, and compile high-quality presentations, reports, and communications that reflect our brand voice and business priorities.
  • Support the planning and execution of key meetings and events — from customer prelines to board-level strategy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Americas Leadership Team (ALT) and global colleagues to ensure alignment and momentum across projects.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and with external partners, becoming trusted and reliable counsel.
  • Jump into ad-hoc projects and operational initiatives with enthusiasm and a solutions-first mindset.
  • Pitch in where needed — because at Dr. Martens, we’re all part of the same team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment — someone who brings structure, clarity, and confidence to every interaction. You’re not just organized; you’re proactive, strategic, and always a step ahead. You understand the importance of discretion, the power of communication, and the impact of thoughtful support.

Essential Must-Haves – Your Tools of the Trade

  • Proven experience supporting senior leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills — you’re the kind of person who never lets the details slip.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the brand and leadership with clarity and professionalism.
  • High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Confident managing shifting priorities, complex schedules, and high-level stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • You’re proactive and solutions-focused — you don’t wait to be asked, you anticipate what’s needed.
  • You’re adaptable and calm under pressure, able to pivot quickly when plans change.
  • You’re a creative thinker who can tailor your approach to suit different leadership styles and team dynamics.
  • You’re a team player who’s always ready to pitch in and support others.
  • You’re passionate about the Dr. Martens brand and excited to help shape its future in the Americas.
  • You bring a global mindset and cultural awareness to your work, with experience collaborating across regions and time zones.
  • Background in administrative or executive support roles, ideally within a global or regional business context.
  • Experience managing complex travel logistics, high-level meetings, and executive communications.
  • Familiarity with project coordination or event planning is a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15% and internationally up to 5%.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer setup for 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
