This role is open to candidates based in either Portland or LA, and will report into either our Burnside office (Portland) or our LA Showroom office.

Dr. Martens is a globally recognized, iconic footwear brand rooted in subculture and individuality. We empower our consumers to express themselves authentically through timeless products built for durability and rebellion. As we continue to grow our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business across the Americas, we are looking for a strategic, analytical, and consumer-obsessed Senior Planning Manager to lead our regional DTC planning efforts.
THE GIG
Build and lead the Merchandise Financial Plan for the Americas DTC business (Retail + eComm), aligning with sales, margin, inventory productivity, and strategic objectives.
- Partner with Regional Product, Finance, and Supply Chain to localize seasonal assortment plans that reflect regional trends, consumer behavior, and store/market performance.
- Work closely with eCommerce and Retail Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of pre-season strategies, aligning financial goals with commercial tactics across channels.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Marketing to align on key brand moments, seasonal campaigns, and promotional windows to ensure financial and inventory strategies support brand execution.
- Lead top-down and bottom-up forecasting across departments, ensuring channel, category, and product-level accuracy.
- Collaborate with Allocation & Replenishment teams to manage in-season inventory flow and maximize full-price sell-through.
- Oversee strategic planning of Out of Line product, including Outlet inventory management, seasonal product transitions, and end-of-life pricing strategies to optimize margin and reduce aged stock.
- Monitor KPIs such as sell-through, weeks of supply, inventory turn, margin performance, and markdown effectiveness to inform agile decision-making.
- Present monthly business recaps, re-forecasts, and strategic insights to senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Guide pre-season planning and seasonal hindsight processes to continuously improve forecasting accuracy and merchandise efficiency.
- Lead and mentor 1–2 planners or analysts, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.

- An expert in merchandise/financial planning with deep understanding of both brick-and-mortar and eComm DTC dynamics.
- A strong communicator and cross-functional partner who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Passionate about consumer-led planning, product lifecycle management, and turning insights into action.
- International/domestic travel required, 10% of travel.
- Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
- Proven experience in retail/merchandise/financial planning, ideally within a fashion, footwear, or consumer lifestyle brand.
- Proven experience of people management, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of DTC planning and forecasting tools; experience with systems like Blue Yonder (JDA), SAP is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in data visualization or BI tools is a bonus.
- Experience working in a global matrixed organization preferred.

PAY DETAILS
- $110,000 - $120,000 per year.
