SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team as Senior Integrations Manager to design, implement, and manage our organization’s integrations systems. The successful candidate will lead this critical area for the company.


THE GIG

The Senior Integrations Manager is responsible for the ownership, stability, and strategic evolution of the company’s integration landscape. This role leads a geographically dispersed team of integration engineers and is accountable for ensuring integrations are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned to business priorities.

A key focus of the role is the consolidation and transformation of integration platforms, moving from fragmented or legacy approaches to a more standardised, resilient, and future‑proof integration capability.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in enterprise integration management, combining hands‑on technical understanding with proven leadership experience. They will have operated in complex, multi‑system environments and played a key role in modernising integration estates during periods of business or technology transformation.

Experience working across global teams and supporting mission‑critical platforms in a fast‑paced enterprise environment is essential.

As Senior Integrations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Own and operate the organisation’s end‑to‑end integration systems, ensuring availability, performance, and supportability.

• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of integration engineers, setting clear objectives, standards, and ways of working.

• Drive the consolidation of integration technologies, reducing duplication, technical debt, and operational risk.

• Lead integration transformation initiatives, including platform modernisation, SaaS and cloud adoption, and improved observability.

• Act as the design authority for integrations, defining patterns, standards, and best practices.

• Partner with architecture, security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integrations align with enterprise standards.

• Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions.

• With the Director of Enterprise technology Services, manage vendor relationships related to integration tooling and services.

• Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and data governance requirements.

• Provide clear reporting on integration health, delivery progress, risks, and opportunities.


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Must-Have Experience:

• Significant experience (typically 8+ years) working in integration engineering and integration platform management.

• Proven experience leading and managing geographically dispersed technical teams.

• Demonstrable experience owning and running integration platforms in a production enterprise environment.

• Strong track record of integration consolidation and rationalisation, including reducing tool sprawl and legacy complexity.

• Experience delivering integration transformation programmes, including cloud migration or platform modernisation.

• Experience integrating systems such as eCommerce, finance/ERP, wholesale, CRM, WMS

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working at both technical and senior business levels.

• Experience operating within ITIL‑aligned or service‑managed environments.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of integration patterns (API‑led, event‑driven, batch, file‑based, synchronous/asynchronous).

• Hands‑on experience with one or more integration platforms or iPaaS solutions (e.g. Workato, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services etc).

• Strong API management experience (REST, SOAP, API gateways, versioning, security).

• Strong development skills with C#, .NET, SQL, XML, JSON.

• Experience with cloud‑based platforms (Azure, AWS).

• Knowledge of messaging and event technologies (e.g. queues, topics, pub/sub).

• Strong understanding of security and data protection in integration design.

• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for integrations.

• Ability to review and guide code quality, design decisions, and non‑functional requirements.
