SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

Working with numbers is something you enjoy. You have excellent attention to details and take pride in providing excellent results. You can work in a team environment or on your own when you need to get through a big project. You are an exceptional communicator and use this skill when working with internal departments to collect documentation, appropriate approvals and answer questions that arise with invoice processing. You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to support the team in enhancing Dr. Martens’ footprint in the Americas region.


THE ROLE

  • Process vendor invoices, including setting up new vendors and collecting required documentation and approvals.
  • Manage a shared email box and work with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing or payment issues.
  • Deposit checks and post related general ledger journal entries.
  • Post to the general ledger with appropriate general ledger codes, approval, and documentation.
  • Share the payables responsibilities with other members of the accounts payable team, including invoice posting and payment processing.
  • Maintain schedule of prepaid items, including calculating amortization of expenses and posting related general ledger journal entries.
  • Assist with processing online expense reports. Communicate with employees to resolve expense report questions and correct errors.
  • Responsible for various Payables and Receivables month end reports and some period end journal entries
  • Other projects and duties as needed.


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Understanding of basic accounting principals.
  • Proven experience in an accounting environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable enforcing company policies.
  • Advanced level Excel, MS Office, and computer database skills.
  • Experience with accounting systems, MS Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • International & domestic travel: 0%.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
