WHERE YOU SIT
As our Key Account Manager BNLX you’ll be part of the Sales team working closely with brilliant people across the business. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager BNLX & Nordics. You’ll be at the core of fast‑moving, high‑impact initiatives shaping Dr. Martens - today and for the future. Based in our Amsterdam office.
This role can suit 32 or 38 hour work week, with Monday as a mandatory working day.
WHERE YOU CONTRIBUTE
The Key Account Manager drives strategic and commercial performance through partnerships with major retail Key Accounts. This role ensures that Dr. Martens’ brand positioning and commercial objectives are delivered consistently across wholesale channels, balancing global frameworks with local execution. It is pivotal in achieving profitable growth, market share expansion, and consumer engagement through strong account relationships and disciplined planning.
Strategic Account Management:
- Develop and execute account strategies aligned with global commercial priorities and market objectives.
- Lead joint business planning with key accounts to deliver revenue, margin, and distribution targets.
- Serve as the primary agent contact, sell-in season set up, while providing guidance and overseeing order management.
Commercial Performance:
- Own sell-in and sell-through performance for strategic accounts, ensuring delivery of financial KPIs.
- Drive accurate forecasting and assortment planning to optimise inventory and minimise obsolete stock.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers at strategic accounts.
- Act as the primary liaison between Dr. Martens and retail partners, influencing outcomes internally and externally.
Operational Excellence:
- Manage the seasonal Go-To-Market (GTM) process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely execution of product launches and campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards across merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities.
Data-Driven Insights:
- Analyse and provide weekly account & market data insights to the Commercial Manager
- Analyse account performance and consumer trends to inform assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Provide actionable insights to ensuring delivery of financial KPI’s
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Strong understanding of wholesale and retail dynamics within the BNLX fashion and footwear.
- Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing at senior stakeholder level.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- Proven track record in key account management within premium fashion or footwear brands.
- Experience managing high-volume retailers and delivering revenue growth.
- Commercially astute, consumer-centric, and results-driven.
- Native Dutch speaker with strong English proficiency
- Minimum of 3 years’ key account management experience in fashion and footwear
