Global Product Design Director

An opportunity to lead the global product design strategy for Dr. Martens, a role that focuses on designing relevant and distinctive consumer driven concepts that connect with the core consumer and push the boundaries of possibilities to reach new consumers.


As a seasoned design leader, you will oversee innovation, design, colour, material and graphic teams, ensuring that products align with market trends and brand identity, key collaborations with various departments inc. creative direction, category management, merchandising, development, marketing, and production will ensure compelling products and concepts are brought to market.


As a consumer-led design lead, you will stay ahead of the latest consumer trends as well as finding unique and relevant ways to continue to elevate the brands DNA and USP throughout the footwear & accessories collections, ensuring a relevant, innovative and competitive proposition.


This role sits as part of the Global Product Leadership team, reporting to the Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for leading design organisation for both our footwear and our accessories lines. Setting and leading a strong strategy with people at the centre, this role will be responsible fostering and nurturing the design team to the next level and driving brand storytelling as well as commercial output of the main range.
