Media & PR Lead – DACH

WHAT'S THE STORY?


·You will be an integral part in building the Dr. Martens brand in the DACH market and specifically Germany by creating meaningful relationships with more consumers, positioning Dr. Martens as a premium brand for different seasons and wearing occasions, rooted in rebellious youth culture.


·As the Media & PR Lead DACH you will work internally with central Marketing and PR teams as well as externally with partners and creative agencies to develop a country-specific plan.


You will be responsible for the creation and activation of local Media and PR plans and ensure messages are delivered in line with our global Brand strategy.


Your success will be measured by consistently growing brand awareness, familiarity and engagement with the next generation of DM’s wearers as well as accelerating performance with key partners.


THE GIG


· Collaborate with relevant GLOBAL, EMEA and DACH stakeholders to ensure consistency and activate Media and PR plans around key stories and strategic pillars

· Distribute and monitor the use of seasonal digital assets to ensure alignment with our partners

· Collaborate and contribute to editing reports and ensure circulation with key stakeholders

· You will manage a detailed critical path ensuring projects are met on time and on budget

· Set clear KPIs and evaluate all activity to ensure over-arching Commercial, Brand and campaign specific objectives are achieved

LOCAL PR INITIATIVES


· You will work closely with an external PR agency to develop a localised PR strategy and tactics in line with commercial and brand objectives

· You will amplify cross divisional product launches, events and activations through tactical PR activities

· You will coordinate product placements for contributors, celebrities and partners

· You will build and maintain relationships with key national and local media outlets

· You will leverage cultural moments and talents as well as building key product story plans to support product launches and Icons support

LOCAL MEDIA INITIATIVES


· You will work closely with an external Media agency to develop and activate a localised Media plan

· You will work closely with Creative Services and brief assets through the production tool Asana

· You will collaborate with the E-Commerce team to ensure consistent messaging

· You will proactively research best practices and develop plans to attract and retain consumers as well as anchor consumer loyalty

· You will be resourceful and creative in your approach to using consumer segmentation data to optimise targeting


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART


Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:


· Experience gained in Media and PR within an international fashion, lifestyle or cultural brand or agency

· Fluent English & German is essential

· Strong communication and analytical skills

· Expertise in compelling storytelling

· Ability to dive deep on subject matters to provide thoughtful and comprehensive recommendations for a variety of complex situations

· Self-motivated, creative and open-minded personality

· Ability to adapt to ever changing demands and react quickly and efficiently within a fast-paced environment

· A high standard of IT literacy is required
