Assistant Merchandiser

THE GIG

This is a brand-new role within our expanding Merchandising team. This role encompasses strategy, planning and trading, with responsibility of overseeing the sales and inventory of our Obsolete stock online and instore.

Planning

  • Create and manage a ‘go to market’ calendar for Obsolete activity.
  • Responsibility for forecasting dispatch through multiple DC’s, accounting for store and DC capacity.
  • Forecast and Maintain an Obsolete WSSI
  • Join the working group focusing on strategy and obsolete reduction initiatives
  • Support with attributing product status based on lifecycle plan
  • Run forward planning meetings with Outlet Regional Managers
  • Organise monthly update meetings with the Product & Branch Merchandisers to agree priorities, actions and strategy
  • Contribute to obsolete stock pricing strategy ensuring sign off with key stakeholders
  • Trading
  • Trade stock between both DTC channels (Ecommerce & Outlets)
  • Maintain stock levels in Outlet stores managing their capacity during busy periods and marketing events.
  • Maintain stock availability on Ecommerce outlet outside of promotional periods and build stock during promotional periods.
  • Maintain the Obsolete Product Master File in Excel ensuring stock, sales and pricing is up to date.
  • Maintain and upload price files into Microsoft D356
  • Create and Maintain Weekly, Monthly and Seasonal reporting to all stakeholders making sure every takeout has an action, is followed up and completed.
  • Undertake store visits and ensure all actions are followed up
  • Support the Merchandising function on additional tasks during busy periods or when needed.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Currently working within a similar role or an Assistant Merchandiser ready for the next move
  • Strong Allocation Background across both Retail and Outlet network.
  • Commercial and independent thinker, able to evaluate a variety of viewpoints
  • Advanced level of excel with an eye for detail
  • Excellent organizational skills & the ability to prioritise workload
  • Great communication skills, confident in building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
