SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?
The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of seasonal marketing campaigns and promotions at all Dr. Martens retail locations inclusive of in-store visuals, events and promotions in the Americas region. This position works cross functionally with Global and Regional Marketing, Creative, Digital, Retail Operations and Product teams.
THE GIG
- Drive a cohesive message for all marketing campaigns and promotions across stores. Work collaboratively with regional managers to drive execution.
- Develop, plan and implement scalable retail marketing programs and promotions that drive new customer acquisition, traffic and demand for key, seasonal products.
- Manage, track and report on marketing program return on investment by store, territory, and season. Strive for continuous improvement and maximum return.
- Manage project budgets, work-back schedules, and approval processes for creative resources, GWPs and promotional items required for retail events and programs.
- Support the digital marketing team in promoting retail programs to help enhance performance and broaden reach.
- Create and communicate seasonal retail window displays, signage, and visual merchandising direction aligned with global and regional key story calendars. Collaborate with Retail Operations team on implementation.
- Work closely with Retail Operations on new store opening and remodels. Manage, production and development of visuals for all store openings within the region.
- Plan and execute retail store events to drive traffic, increase brand awareness, and enhance customer engagement.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration in creating strategic retail marketing, program performance analysis, creative direction and execution on retail events.
- A creative and data-driven approach to retail programming.
- Functional knowledge of media, advertising, and brand positioning at retail.
- Experience with retail marketing via product merchandising, fixtures, and POS strategies.
- Experience in event marketing and traffic driving initiatives.
- Self-motivated with ability to establish personal rapport and build strong business partnerships via phone, email, and in-person.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiating skills.
- Able to manage projects, meet deadlines, and manage to budget.
- Able to travel throughout the US up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
