Account Manager

THE GIG

You will own the end-end management of your accounts, which will be a mixture of bricks and mortar and pureplay retailers. You will live and breathe this world and can deliver insight from ground up and be an integral member of the team, working in a cross functional capacity with both internal and external stakeholders; to deliver best in class assortments and helping shape the UK marketplace. You will aid in setting the agenda for the business with a sharp point on B2B management.

  • You are a person who is passionate about sales and account management who has ideally worked previously in the fashion world. You have the ability to work in a cross-functional capacity and understand how to utilize your communication/influencing skills to partner with both internal and external teams to ultimately deliver best in class results. You are ready to head up the account level strategy.

You will:

  • In partnership with the sales leadership team, you will define and execute the account strategy.
  • In partnership with Marketing, you will ensure DMs have absolute clarity around the current account needs and consumer groups that support both the commercial and brand objectives.
  • Own and lead the development and management of Accounts across the region, solidifying brand-building relationships for the long term.
  • Manage the end-end process of your accounts
  • Provide accurate and timely seasonal forecasts for the accounts.
  • Keep stakeholders up to date and informed of progress, achievements challenges through your clear communication and influencing skills.
  • You will work closely with the region’s cross functional resources (CS, Ops, Finance) to enable the smooth running of the Accounts.
  • It goes without saying that everyone at Dr Martens is a team. Everyone is expected to take on other duties as needed.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • A good working knowledge of the fashion industry (ideally footwear)
  • Great communications skills to enable cross functional support, working with clear objectives and SLA’s
  • Be comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Able to travel on an ad hoc basis
  • Well organised with strong time management and prioritisation capability
  • A great planner with the practicality to manage the everyday tasks that enable the business to work smoothly
  • Great at leveraging internal relationships across multiple functions
  • An honest and open character with the disposition to take and give constructive feedback
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel & PowerPoint. Have previous experience and a reasonable level of familiarity working on ERP systems and associated systems used within the business, for example JBA
