Group Tax Analyst

THE GIG

The Group Tax Analyst is part of the Group Tax Team based in the Camden Head Office. Its primary purpose is to provide support in all global corporate tax matters, although there will be opportunity to be involved is some VAT and project work.

As our Group Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a timetable for the gathering, preparation, and delivery of information required to prepare and complete a corporation tax computation within deadlines set by the group.
  • The preparation of schedules to support Corporation Tax Returns and Value Added Tax (VAT) Returns, along with either the preparation of those returns or engagement with an outsourced preparer.
  • Reviewing data quality and rectifying deficiencies in the data provided.
  • Initial preparation for review of monthly, half yearly and annual Corporation Tax reporting and year-end tax disclosures.
  • Supporting the documentation of processes lifecycle, through to supporting the Senior Accounting Officer sign off.
  • Carrying out technical research to resolve tax implications of proposed projects or transactions.
  • Aiding in the identification, quantification, administration, and reporting of cross-border withholding taxes; ensuring local compliance in respect of cross-border withholding taxes.
  • Maintenance of the Group's tax control framework; identifying areas of potential weakness or opportunity for improvement through business partnering.
  • Acting as a point of contact for technical tax queries within the Group, ensuring you’re a subject matter expert for Tax matters and provision of technical knowledge across the Financial Reporting teams.
  • Escalation of key issues; becoming a trusted advisor within Group.

  • Part-qualified or working towards ATT/CTA.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • D365 experience would be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products.
  • Exposure working to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate as a part of a supportive team.
