PR & Seeding Coordinator - CONTRACT

This is a temporary contract position that is expected to last 12 weeks.


SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

As a part of the Americas Brand Marketing Team, this position plays a pivotal role in Dr. Martens’ brand building activities. You will be responsible for adopting the global PR strategy and executing against a compelling US PR and Seeding strategy to grow and elevate the DM’s brand through product-focused campaigns, earned media and seeding executions. You will also assist in building brand reputation and help to foster relationships with a network of influential media partners and key industry contacts.


THE ROLE

As the PR and Seeding Coordinator, Americas you will be responsible for:


STRATEGIC BRAND DEVELOPMENT

  • Assist the PR and Seeding Specialist, Americas with the execution of the Americas PR and Seeding Strategy, ensuring focused time-conscious product placement, earned media and seeding projects to drive brand heat and grow Dr. Martens consumer base.
  • Partner with PR and Seeding team to support PR agency briefings, partnerships and events including administrative tasks, budget tracking, KPI and monthly reporting.


TEAM PARTNERSHIP

  • Supports cross-functional teams to align on US brand initiatives, seeding, storytelling, and cultural moment opportunities
  • Assist PR and Seeding team on seeding targets and opportunities to fit local needs
  • Leads communication between US Distribution Centre, Planning, Merchandising and Retail teams to ensure product and compliance deadlines
  • Drives and facilitates all product production and seeding orders with cross-functional partners, vendors and creative team
  • Leads creative production on seeding materials in partnership with Global PR and Seeding Lead
  • Drives monthly product and events calendar for internal team and external PR agency partners
  • Develops PR and Seeding reports, recaps with cross-functional team
  • Represents the Americas Brand Marketing team (hybrid working from Portland or Los Angeles-based office), setting high standard of excellence and ensuring consistent support to US strategy and key business objectives.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Able to collaborate and work cross functionally
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Knowledgeable about US media and cultural landscape, including traditional and emergent trends, platforms, and talent
  • Courageous, someone with high standard, ambition and who dares to do great work.
  • Domestic travel required, 10% of travel.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
