Assistant Finance Analyst EMEA - 12 month FTC

THE GIG

Supporting the EMEA Finance team to undertake monthly opex management for central costs, ensuring accruals and prepayments are prepared and opex is reported and forecast accurately. Ensuring Monthly reporting packs for the region are reconciled and complete, and ready for review by EMEA Management


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Monthly reporting:

  • Prepare monthly accruals and prepayment for all central departments, including Marketing and B2B, ensuring back up is robust and auditable
  • Ensure variances to budget/forecast have been investigated and can be explained with proposed corrective action
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs for each department head, calling out key variances and drivers
  • Partner with Marketing team and keep their cost trackers up to date
  • Assist with production of monthly cost reporting (‘Cost Book’) and associated analysis of variances.


Budgets and Forecasts:

  • Preparation and consolidation of EMEA budgets/forecasts for Support functions including Marketing


D365 and Power BI utilisation

  • Help drive efficiency and continuous process improvement by utilising D365 and Power BI to develop and implement new reporting and planning processes in line with best practice.

  • Started studying a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA), be AAT qualified, or have experience in a similar role.
  • An ability to work independently and a strong work ethic, managing time successfully to work to agreed timetables and deadlines.
  • Team player with a can do attitude
  • Intermediate excel skills (confident with using formulas such as vlookups and sumifs) and experience working with large data sets.
  • Proven ability to think creatively with strong problem-solving skills in order to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic working environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak to finance and non-finance colleagues
  • An analytical and questioning mind set and confidence to ask questions.
  • Finance systems at an operational level - ideally D365
