Technology Operations Manager

SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

The Technology Operations Manager oversees the implementation and management of technology throughout Dr. Martens Americas. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information technology activities, incident response and management, recommending practical solutions, and participating in global efforts to improve the effective use of technology at Dr. Martens.


THE GIG

  • Lead day-to-day Technology operations, emphasizing end-user technical support, training, and managing end-user computing environments.
  • Coordinate Technology Incident Response and Management, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Make recommendations for new solutions and services.
  • Responsible for the Regional Service Desk and Cloud & Infrastructure teams.
  • Training, motivating, coaching and evaluating performance of team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly seeking feedback and introducing innovative solutions to enhance technology infrastructure and operations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in Technology infrastructure management, ensuring the organization is always at the forefront of Technology.
  • Serve as a key communicator between Technology and business stakeholders, effectively relaying change management initiatives, priorities, and relevant updates.
  • Develop and document process and procedures, as well as maintain technical documentation for all Dr. Martens Americas systems and solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.



THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related experience required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Technology management.
  • Proficiency in coordinating incident response and management
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, deployment, and maintenance, as well as cloud services and productivity tools.
  • Hands-on management of Technology infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Familiarity with Technology best practices, including security policies and backup strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, maintain strong attention to detail and have amazing troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have a pro-active positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • International & domestic travel: 10%.
