Senior Accountant (Japanese & English Speaker)

Reports To: Assistant Accounting Manager

Location: Hong Kong

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Permanent


SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

This talent is a critical member of the APAC Finance Shared Service team, handling full set of accounts for our APAC entities, with lots of opportunities collaborating with teams in Japan, China and Korea.


He/she would be expected to take care of month end closing, prepare management and monthly reports for management review, prepare accounting schedules and analyze.


There’s also plenty of opportunities to assist in the annual audit, ensure internal controls are in place and involve in ad-hoc projects as required for future growth and development.


THE GIG

· Ensure all accounting transactions such as Receipt Vouchers, Payment Vouchers and Journal Vouchers are recorded to General Ledger

· Ensure all practices and procedures are in compliance with company standards

· Compile monthly management and financial reports including analysis and recommendations

· Prepare Balance Sheet and Cashflow forecast and variance analysis on ad-hoc basis and periodically

· Liaise with external auditors on annual audit with proper & organised manner

· Assist in ERP system implementation and maintenance

· Handle ad-hoc assignments

· Occasional travel within APAC Region


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

· Bachelor Degree holder in Accounting and Finance, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting

· Experience in retail/consumer industry is a MUST

· Preferably a part qualified / qualified accountant

· Exposure in other APAC regions is a definite plus

· Good command of written and spoken English and Japanese

· Responsible and independent individual who is self-motivated to drive results and changes

· Strong analytical skills with good learning agility

· Good interpersonal & communications skills

· High standard of integrity and compliance

· Advanced user of Excel and experienced in ERP system
