Sustainability Coordinator (6 Month FTC)

This is a rare opportunity to support the DM's Sustainability Team and to play a vital part in helping the brand progress towards its sustainability goals. The Sustainability Team need extra support on a temporary basis for 6 months as they undertake some key projects.


THE GIG

This is an impactful role working in a busy and fast paced environment. You will be part of a committed, passionate, supportive, and collaborative team. It’s a varied role, so you’ll need to be highly adaptable and able to think on your feet, no matter what pair of Docs you’re wearing that day.


As our Sustainability Coordinator you will be responsible for:


  • Supporting the team to deliver a key strategic project (double materiality assessment). Tasks could include organising workshops, scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and gathering and circulating supporting documents
  • Gathering and reviewing data from across the business for the annual carbon footprint calculation, and inputting the data sets into the software
  • Monitoring the collection of data and ensuring it is captured in the system to the deadlines set
  • Providing administration support to the team such as organising meetings and ad-hoc events
  • Invoice and Purchase Order support for the team. Providing administration support to the team such as organising meetings and ad-hoc events Including raising and receipting POs, setting up new suppliers, coding invoices and obtaining approval to liaise with Accounts Payable
  • Supporting with sustainability content for the internal communications channels
  • Monitoring the DM’s sustainability inbox and coordinate responses with support from the relevant team members and business functions.


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:


  • A highly organised, self-motivated and proactive individual with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent IT skills, including video calls on Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to pick up new software quickly
  • Great relationship management that delivers results through effective teamwork
  • A numerate individual with an eye for detail and thoroughness who can manipulate large data sets
  • A passion for sustainability and a willingness to be a proud custodian for our DMs culture, embodying what we stand for and encouraging others to do the same
  • Previous experience within Sustainability is beneficial but not essential
