Senior Site Merchandising Manager

SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?


You are an inquisitive and passionate ecommerce professional, who is constantly asking questions and testing to figure out what makes our consumers tick. You want to deliver best-in-class digital experiences, stories, and consumer journeys to keep people coming back for more. You are highly collaborative and as part of the e-commerce team, will work alongside regional and global marketing teams to drive and implement the digital content strategy for Dr. Martens’ Americas.


THE GIG


  • You will own the day-to-day trading activities across the US & Canada websites including localization of content, product promotion, pricing updates, merchandising, and marketing communications
  • Manage the execution of the digital visual merchandising strategy to support eCommerce growth and enhance brand and digital consumer experience to attract, educate, and convert customers
  • Develop an agile approach to reporting on commercial value of site pages and campaigns and recognize opportunity to further drive demand
  • You will manage the Americas & Canada Digital Commercial calendar and outline seasonal stories and commercial opportunities and with the Digital Product Manager you will ensure we brief in the necessary digital assets to support sell through of key stories online
  • You will utilize our 3rd party merchandising tool to continuously optimize on-site merchandising, categorization, and search to reflect customer behavior and preferences online
  • Your team will maintain and optimize PDP, PLP, product information, category hierarchy structure and content
  • Monitor KPIs, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive insights to optimize short-term performance and to influence longer term strategies
  • You will manage the Americas onsite personalization strategy by identifying opportunities for personized journeys and briefing in set up to the content team for execution
  • Own the strategy for content and commercial stories featured on the Americas homepages and navigations
  • Develop a strategic view of our customer journeys for our key products, apply data and insights to inform the development of a website experience that engages and converts.
  • Run regularly scheduled web analytics reports that contribute meaningful analysis and actionable insights. Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • 5-7+ years’ experience in an E-Commerce role.
  • Strong detail orientation, organizational, and documentation skills with the ability to prioritize a varied workload.
  • General knowledge of content management systems and data analysis tools (knowledge of Hybris and Google Analytics preferred but not required)
  • An understanding of Agile working methodology
  • Experience managing a large digital product catalog and maintaining product names, prices and details
  • Proficient computer skills, Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel
  • Technical understanding of ecommerce website operations including (but not limited to) HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • A highly commercial mindset, consistently focused on driving revenues and margin
  • A strength in collaborating with cross functional partners and team members
  • Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable making data-driven decisions, and read and create reports
  • Proven autonomy and confidence to present trading results to executives
  • Work alongside content and digital marketing teams to execute merchandising tasks and help identify opportunity to support sell-through.
