THE GIG
The Global PR Manager is a key member of the Global PR and Advocacy team, and will be responsible for devising, managing, implementing and measuring all brand PR activity on a global scale. This is a collaborative role that will support regional teams with executing the brand PR strategy locally, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and consistency in positioning.
This position requires strategic and creative thinking as well as the ability to plan, multi-task, project manage, prioritise and succeed in a fast paced, multi-layered environment. It requires the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, collaborating with relevant Dr. Martens teams within Global and Regional teams across the business as well as line-management responsibility of the Global PR Coordinator.
As Global PR Manager you will…
- Work with the head of PR to devise the Dr. Martens global PR strategy and seasonal frameworks that reinforce the brand’s premium positioning and broaden the consumer base
- Manage a retained global PR agency, providing clear briefs and regular feedback to ensure they deliver best in class work
- Be at the forefront of new social and digital media platforms and influencers relevant to the Dr. Martens target market and build into strategies and activations accordingly
- Be tapped into global, regional and competitor news and stay abreast of emerging and future earned media trends across all relevant industries
- Manage the production and delivery of all global toolkits
- Work closely with other marketing channel and digital leads to ensure the development of integrated marketing activation strategies and product launch plans
- Manage the Global PR Coordinator
- Work closely with brand and creative to develop all campaign and brand messaging for PR use
- Lead on all PR plans with collaboration partners
- Drive an inspiring, clear and concise briefing process to regional PR teams and external PR agencies through efficient campaign and project management, including KPI tracking, reporting and data analysis
- Oversee the Global PR Budget
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
- At least five years’ PR, comms, marketing or project management experience
- Fashion and/or footwear experience preferred
- Ideally with some in-house experience or global-agency work
- Impeccable project management experience
- Strong understanding of the global media landscape
- Strategic mindset and collaborative work process
- Highly organised, personable and a can-do attitude with ability to work under pressure
- Strong managerial skills
- Exceptional attention-to-detail, along with high level of written and verbal communication
