SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?
Your expertise in both business planning and analysis sets you apart. You understand what success looks like in the Wholesale footwear business and can identify trends and summarize insights to influence revenue growth. You balance qualitative and quantitative analysis, making recommendations that influence strategy and decision-making across multiple levels. You are the go-to for providing world-class service to the sales teams and customers to achieve sales goals and KPI’s. You support the leadership team in future business planning and strategic initiatives. You develop tools and training to enable the sales team to operate at an optimal level and drive revenue growth substantially. You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to support the team in enhancing Dr. Martens’ footprint in the Americas region.
THE GIG
Account Planning
- Lead and own preparation for monthly S&OP forecast review meetings that drive the revenue & unit outlook for assigned Wholesale accounts. Collaborate with Finance and internal Sales Leadership team to align on monthly sales outlook vs. targets, identify & communicate risks and opportunities, and monitor in season.
- Partner with Wholesale leadership to develop the pre-season and in-season forecasts of assigned channels in partnership with sales & product. This will include comparing tops-down and bottoms-up scenarios through monthly ladders, tracking product performance, and reporting results on sell in/out and marketplace inventory needs to drive business health.
Reporting
- Influence & lead creation of standardized best practice reporting, tools and training to enable strategic decision making. Partner with IT/Business Intelligence team to enhance DM metrics with improved business dashboards that amplify insights and reduce unnecessary ad-hoc reporting/tasks.
Presentations & Influence
- Prepare and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, using data-driven insights to shape strategic decisions and align organizational priorities.
- Lead projects to review planning processes, procedures and practices towards the goal of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with key business partners (Sales, Finance, Demand Planning, etc.) to prioritize issue resolution to ensure business goals and business risks are actioned/escalated.
- May mentor and train other Sales team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing to elevate the overall performance and expertise of the team.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
- 5-7+ years of experience in planning, analytics, or business strategy within wholesale, retail, apparel, fashion, or footwear industries.
- Experience of S&OP and forecasting processes. Experience with planning software preferred.
- Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop creative and innovative solutions in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Highly advanced Excel skills with ability to create repeatable, refreshable reporting through formulas, Pivot tables, and Power Query.
- Experience leveraging Business Intelligence platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to be detail oriented and accomplish assignments simultaneously with time management.
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional partners to develop and design mutually aligned goals and solutions.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and incorporating excel skills with experience in building pivot tables and story-telling visuals.
- Experience understanding and developing consumer, retail, and competitor trends.
- Demonstrated analytical experience with retail math and retail financial drivers required.
- Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.

PAY DETAILS
- $100,000 - $110,000 per year.
