Senior Sales & Operations Planning Analyst

Our Global Supply Chain organization is committed to enabling the growth of our Dr. Martens brand. As part of our 5-year strategy, to enable growth we are committed to sustaining strong fulfillment and optimization by continuous process and performance improvement.


To be our Senior Sales & Operations Analyst you will have strong experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or demand planning. You are comfortable in building and interpreting multiple datasets and metrics in order to communicate in a way that enables decision making. You are adept in creating and updating analysis which is consolidated into the monthly Sales & Operations Planning cycle. You are able to keep your colleagues aligned with deadlines and delivery expectations. You manage and mentor an Analyst to grow the capabilities of the Sales & Operations Planning function. You use your interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in Dr. Martens’ ambition to build the best-in-class integrated supply chain. You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to lead supply chain planning to enhance Dr. Martens’ footprint and execution in the Americas region.


THE GIG


  • Contribute to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process by ensuring timely readiness of routine reporting and ad hoc analyses/investigations to support and inform decisions.
  • Update and maintain inventory projections to track the effects of forecast and supply changes and identify potential operational impacts to the regions, channels, and DCs.
  • Manage the development of new Sales & Operations Planning tools by providing guidance based on business acumen, technical data, and reporting methodology.
  • Build strong partnerships across the business functions and regions to facilitate continuous improvement and enhanced understanding of business needs.
  • Ad hoc reporting to support inventory and purchase planning as well as deep dives on demand planning and sales forecasting.


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science (equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is considered)
  • 5-7 Years experience in supply chain planning, analytics, and modeling. Footwear or apparel experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory planning and demand forecasting metrics.
  • High-level proficiency/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. VBA/SQL a plus.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills to simplify complex data into an executive message.
  • Experience of undertaking detailed and complex analysis using large data sets.
  • Experience in managing people is a plus.
  • Experience in utilizing a supply chain planning system is a plus (Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, Logility, APO)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; ability to work well with a variety of people across departments and regions.
  • International/domestic travel required, 0% of travel.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
