THE GIG
1. Ensure to engage on-site business users to install and maintain global / local business systems in conjunction with global IT teams as responding strategically and tactically for Japan business
2. Ensure to review service level of global IT support teams and raise improvements and intake requests in conjunction with Global IT teams.
3. Focus on Direct to Consumer(DTC) priorities and business IT operational support for Japan
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
- Manage all technology operations including Infrastructures (Network, Servers, POS, and all hardware devices) / Applications (D365, PBI) / Manage Help desk for both office & stores / 3rd Vender management / IT Projects
- Responsible for implementation, development, maintenance of all IT operations closely working with business and store to support their business achievement.
- Support and manage various projects associated with IT applications & infrastructures including defining requirements, designing, functional & technical solutions, providing guidance to global IT team, planning, and conducting testing, coordinating user testing, coordinating cut-over/conversion, and preparing for training / manuals and system documentation.
- Implement global IT projects and initiative in Japan and make necessary localization in coordination with global IT team.
- Analysing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
- Ensure to establish and maintain solid IT policies and systems in line with local requirements and HQ policy.
- Leads and manage external vendors/partners and service providers to manage all IT functions required.
- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software, in according with global IT.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information as the chair of Security Committee.

YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES
- Proven experience of IT support for retail business.
- Basic understanding of application and data experience regardless of application complexity.
- Experience in “D365” system and “Store Commerce” Store system will be considered a plus.
- Experience in implementing service management concept to entire IT activities.
- Vendor management experiences, in line with IT corporate guidelines.
- Outstanding communication and facilitation skills in Japanese, primary, and in English secondary, and experiences in partnering with business users and other IT members to design and implement systems as desired.
- Excellent collaboration skills with Local and Global.
- (Nice to have)
- Project management experience with overseas counter parties (Strong English communication capability) with strong negotiation skill and assertiveness.
- ERP & Logistics area as well as frontend application such as Store POS systems and eCommerce platforms is a plus.
- Capability to dig into the details in hands on, if necessary, while keeping strategic mind set.
